About
With this rp-forum we wanted to create something other than a story. Every rp'er can create a story. It is what you do, being a character designer. With your hands and thoughts you let a creature come to life and send it wandering along the paths of your imagination. Maybe it is never more than mere pride to create a story for them and force characters of others to follow a path not made by them.
That is why Morpheus has a setting instead of a storyline. Here we want to welcome you in a small village without a name. Take a look at the Inn, or at the market, make yourselves at home. Let your characters wander here, and create their story along the way. With time, there will hopefully be a moment when this topic can state: this is the story so far, solemnly created by the members of Morpheus.
For now: this is day one of year zero in an unknown village of unknown land. Be welcome!
Global-accounts
ProBoards uses a system called 'global-accounts'. Although it is quite similar to the more regular parent- and sub-accounts, it isn't entirely the same. If you are unfamiliar with this system of ProBoards, it is strongly recommend to take a look at this thread on the ProBoards support forum. If you understand how global-accounts work, you can read on.
Registration
First of all start with registering one main account. Equivalent of the parent-account on other forums, this is the account you want to be known as. With this account you won't able to post on the rp-boards. If you want to contact / pm someone, do this on their (and your) main account.
As for the roll playing (RP) characters: create a new account for each and everyone of them and make sure to add them to the member-group 'RP Character'. This will give you the opportunity to post on the rp-boards. However, with your RP characters you won't be able to post on the general boards. The 'Dropbox' category is open for everyone.
Personal Profile
Once registered it is time to personalize your account a bit. First of all upload an avatar and think of a signature. Avatars must be 200x200 and have to be uploaded on an extern site (such as imageshack) as ProBoards will automatically resize everything bigger than 150x150. Secondly you can add personal information and / or pictures to your profile. For a more exact reference, take a look at this picture. The rounded corners are embedded in the code for every picture on your profile and your avatar, so don't worry about that.
For your RP characters you might also like to create a charactersheet. You can take a look at this topic for an example. You are free to create a topic for each of your characters on the Participants-board and post their sheets there. Just let the staff know when a character is outdated and the thread can be (should be) removed.
Guidelines
Morpheus isn't the type of forum which should have a whole list of rules. There are, nonetheless, a few things you should keep in mind at all times. Foremost: ProBoards practices a strict PG-13 policy (read more about it here), so everything you post on this forum (or send as pm!) should be appropriate to watch for a thirteen year old. Having stated that thirteen is the minimum age, we expect mature behaviour from every single one of you. Members won't be refused because they aren't eighteen yet, but if you are caught of behaving childishly you will receive an official warning for it. Don't misunderstand: you should all have fun (most definitely), but we won't endure endless whining because 'everything is wrong'.
Please keep in mind that mature behaviour doesn't only mean you pay respect to your fellow-members, it also means as experienced rp'er keeping up with beginners. Everyone is welcome, as long as you are willing to learn. It is expected from more experienced members to interact with and teach less experienced members. If you are too proud to react on a 300-words post, because you can write one of at least 1000, you are on the wrong forum. As easy as that.
Last but not least: I, as admin, am not a native speaker, I am a good writer, but really not that great. So we, as forum, don't expect you to be fantastic. If you can write a readable 300-word post and you are enjoyable for the other members, you are good enough – and more than welcome!

Hard Rules
As addition to above guidelines
- All content must be PG-13 or milder
- Signatures may not be intrusive
So preferable no pictures at all, unless you can make them non-intrusive - Avatars must be 200x200 and uploaded on an external site
